I removed the cover screws but the stopper doesn’t lift out of the overflow pipe. I think it’s corroded in place? Is there some way to free it without removing the overflow pipe? 4 Aug 2001 at 7:12 pm #291191 GuestParticipant Easy remedy, Get a wire hanger make a small hook shape then feed it down your over flow and you can snag the stopper very easily.
