cutting cast iron waste pipe

I would like to know the best way to cut a cast iron waste pipe so I can mate a pvc pipe to it

If you’re able to get your hands on a soil pipe cutter, that would be the quickest way of cutting cast iron pipe. If not, rent yourself a sawzall (reciprocating saw) with some tungsten blades. It’ll take longer to cut through the CI pipe, but it’ll work. If you’ve never used a soil pipe cutter before, go with the sawzall.
