I’m having a problem with the diverter in my bathtub…alot of water is still coming out of the faucet when I want it all to be coming out of the showerhead. How do I fix this problem myself???

You will have to tell us which type of diverter you have. Third handle on the wall, push button on the wall, pull up, or down, knob on the spout. And if it is not on the spout, the manufacturer of the faucet, since built in diverters are not generic.
