I have seen products online that can be used to “paint” fiberglass or plastic bathtubs. I am considering this for a house I bought to clean up the bathrooms and save money. Has anyone tried these types of products? Are they any good? Which products are best? We’ll only be in the house three years and have a limited remodeling budget.

Sir, I had an acrylic tub liner installed over my existing tub. I thought that it was the economical thing to do rather than installing a new tub. The liner leaks severly and has so much water trapped in it that it has a bubble in the center of the tub. This is a second install and one year later I am still waiting on the company to honor a third install. It is going to cost me more than I paid for the acrylic liner to have it removed and repairs made.
