I just installed a new toilet but the existing faucet/ angle valve is now dripping on the floor and I can’t seem to stop it. Any suggestions?? Help would be greatly appreciated.

look up, you would be suprised the number of leaks that are realy above where you are looking, follow the pipe up towards the cistern checking joints

Check the packing nut,its the nut where the stem comes out.Chances are the packing is leaking. You might be able to tighten the nut and stop the leak.Make sure you to use a backup wrench to hold the valve so you DO NOT TWIST THE VALVE OFF. Good luck
