Hello all and thanks for any advice you may give. For the past several months the plumbing in our house makes a soft, almost like a cat’s meow, when any faucet, hot or cold is turned off. It doesn’t do it when turning on the faucet or when it is running, just when it is turned off. Any Ideas? Thanks again for the help. Dale Thomson [email protected]

If you have a water softener, place it in the bypass position and see if the noise stops. If you do not have a water softener, but do have a pressure regulator valve, put a gauge on the system and see if the pressure rises when the faucets are turned off and the noise starts.
