There is no water entering my dishwater the water supply is fine and the motor is running and operational but there is no water. Could this be the water inlet valve or the pump?

It could be the little float in one of the two front corners. If it is stuck in the up position then the dishwasher will think it is full of water and not feed any more. Move it up and down and see if you can hear a very faint click when it moves.
