        Is there anything I should know, before I shut the pilot light off on my hot water heating system, I have 2 and with gas prices the way they are, I don’t want to throw away any more money. Thank you very much

          Why not hire a REAL licensed Plumber and ask to see his/her license and ask them to install an electronic ignition.. THINK of the $$$$ you save huh

            It may sound odd, but it is very real that spiders seem to like to build webs in the orifice of an idle pilot burner and moisture settles on the unheated surfaces to rust the parts while the pilot light is off. You will save about $25 by shutting the pilots off and possibly incur service charges and require a boiler sooner than expected.
