I just purchased an older home and the toilet is very slow. I have even pulled the toilet and it is not stopped up. I poured water in the drain and it flows freely. All of my other drains are free so I don’t think it is the vent. Could it just be a bad toilet? Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.

did you turn the bowl upside down and look inside the throat of it, sometime the plastic holder of the toilet fresheners go through but get stuck

Yes I looked in the throat and I could not see anything. I think something may be still stuck inside though because now I can’t flush it with a bucket and and I could for about a day when I put it back together. Thanks for your help. Should I take it back off and see if it is obtructed again?
