While renting a basement apartment they ejector pump that sent sewage upstairs blew and leaked all through a closet and two rooms. My landlord is withholding my security deposit because my wife flushed tampons down the toilet. My questions are: Is it normal for an ejector pump to clog from tampons. Is it normal to assume that you flush tampons down most sanitary systems unless told otherwise?

Sorry I replaced more burnt out ejectors because of tampons getting jamed in the impellers
If it AINT natural it should not go down the toilets.
