I am trying to write a business plan for a college course. We

already have a plumbing business established, but I personally

need some info in order to write the almighty business plan and

don’t know exactly how to find it. Can you help me?

I need to know things such as

        1. What is the average industry markup on parts?

        2. What is the average yearly profit for a small plumbing business?

        3. What is the average non-collection rate for payment of customers in the plumbing industry?

I’m sure I need other statistics. What can you give me or direct me to? Thanks!

I need to know things such as

          1. What is the average industry markup on parts? Between 50-100%

          2. What is the average yearly profit for a small plumbing business? About 15% AFTER salary and Benefits like a company car etc.

Too much “profit” is not good tax wise. Rather give some “profit” to various charties Or buy new equipment

A ONE man shop should be able to Gross $250,000+ working no more then 40 weeks per year

          3. What is the average non-collection rate for payment of customers in the plumbing industry?

          Average 2% MOSTLY from Lawyers

I’m sure I need other statistics. What can you give me or direct me to? Thanks!
