        I need to move our wahing machine out of the room with the drain (moving the drain is not an option). How high will the W.M. pumr eject the water? Can I run the line up and through the ceiling to the existing drain in th other room? Do I need a check valve on the line at the washer?

          Depends on the “TDH” and the manufacturer of the pump. READ the directions on the literature that you received with this washing machine
          When in doubt ask the manufacture
