Last night when I flushed my flushometer toilet, water started spewing out the back of the pipes. I took a look to find that the vertical pipe that leads from the flusher to the horizontal pipe that is screwed to the back of the tank had come ‘undone’ right in the bend in the pipes.

These appear to be 2 different pipes that have a connector where they meet, however, it doesn’t appear as though they are threaded together. Are they supposed to be one unit? How do I repair this?

        thanks.

Thanks for looking- I actually went to the hardware store and found the peice that appears to have been the culprit.

For the record it was a broken plastic o-ring type washer. I bought a replacement and will see if that works….
