I’m having a problem with banging
hydronic heating pipes. My second
floor system which is piped thru
the elements as usual and then the
return loop runs thru the heater
enclosure, then back to the boiler.
I believe my problem is the velocity of the water rushing from
the second floor and slamming into
the closing zone valve. Would a water hammer device solve my problem? -
Removing one of the springs from inside the Honeywell zone valve sometimes helps. Replacing the zone valve with another model often stops the problem.
