the galvanized pipe broke off at the threads flush with the top of the pump casing. at the same time the electrical wires to the pump were immediately pulled downward until the electrical box hit the top of the pump casing plate. do i need a new pump?

Were you able to get the pump out of the well? Probably the pump itself is OK but have it tested in a test tank before reinstalling also have a profesional test the motor leads. they could have taken a pretty good yank.: the galvanized pipe broke off at the threads flush with the top of the pump casing. at the same time the electrical wires to the pump were immediately pulled downward until the electrical box hit the top of the pump casing plate. do i need a new pump?
