sand in the toilet?

      Whenever we flush the toilet a handful of sand like small granules sit in the base. Why do you think that is? Is there something wrong with the pipes???

      If you are on a well, it could be generating some sand. Mine does. If this is the case and it is making a lot of sand you will have problems with valves and worse yet, it may mean some costly well repairs. If you are not on a well, then I am stumped.
