Help… Just yesterday my toilet stoped flushing, I checked the tank and it was not refilling with water. Could someone please tell me whats going on, and if there is any thing I can do about it…
The problem is most likely inside the ballcock (the fill valve) in the toilet tank. You might be able to take it apart and replace a small diaphram or seal. But the complete valve is not expensive so maybe you should just replace the whole thing. While the valve is removed or disassembled, turn the cut-off valve back on to make sure it is not stopped up (unlikely, but possible). Heres a site with directions and info:http://www.toiletology.com/refill.shtml
