I have a Badger 1/2 hp disposal that is about 2 yrs old. Last night it clogged for the first time. I was putting some pasta down the disposal, and then it stopped and clogged. Power seems to work on the unit, and there is no food matter in the chamber except for some brown liquid. I’ve tried two “maximum” strength Draino type solutions to no avail. What can I do to troubleshoot this?

Either call a plumber or, if only the disposer sink is plugged, take the drain piping apart and dump out the pasta.
