My washing machine is set-up in the Pantry of my second floor unit. Whenever it drains the water backs up in my tennant’s kitchen sink on the first floor. What could possibly be the reason(s)? How do I correct the problem(s).

It is not your problem to correct, if you are renting. It is the Landlord’s. That is what they pay him/her to do, and why they have a maintenance crew.
