I am away at college in a dorm and I think Ive had hot water maybe once when taking a shower. Is there something that we could attach to the pieple to make the water warmer. Both the hot and cold pipes are exposed above the shower head?

If the lack of hot water is from everyone trying to take a shower at the same time, try to shower during OFF times. If no one ever has hot water, you probably should just get everyone to complain to the maintenance department. There isnt anything you can do to make the water hotter yourself.
