The water heater sounds loud when running….like a tea kettle when it is heating up (before it starts to whistle). What does this mean? It seems the sound is getting louder as the month goes by.
B.:–The noise is due to collapsing steam bubbles at the bottom of your heater. Best thing to do is to clean all the accumulated crud out from the bottom of your heater. It will run more efficiently and with very little noise. Follow the instruction of the manufacturer of the water heater for the proper way to clean the unit. Lots of luck…Bud
