I live in a 20 year old house, recently we have noticed in our utility room (basement) That there is a ordor in that room which appears to be from the septic system. The floor drain trap in that room is full. On occassion we aslo notice the ordor in the yard by the field vent pipes. The tank was pumped approx 2 years ago. Could it be that at the time the house was built the roof vent was positioned correctly and with the growth of all the trees the vent must now be moved further up the roof as it is not venting correctly? I have checked all traps and they appear to be full. All other drainage related items appear to be functioning properly. Thank you for your help.
