I am going to replace my old water heater, presently located in the garage. Would like to put the new one in my 4 ft. crawlspace, if I can find one to fit. Where can I find one that is suitable for that? I would think I could set it near the furnace, and tap into the natural gas line there. Also, shouldnt I be able to connect the new water heater vent to the furnace vent? All advice is greatly appreciated, dont really know if this is a good idea.

I didnt see anything in the code book that would prohibit this. But the gas supply pipe and maybe the furnace vent pipe may not be large enough to handle both things.
