Clogged toilet

My toilet overflows each time it is flushed. I had to turn the water valve off. I used a plunger, but it didnt work. What is my next attempt to getting it open. I have two other toilets, but have no problem with them at this time. Kindly advise.

This would normally indicate that something has become lodged in the trap of the toilet. A toilet bowl auger will generally push it through or pull it back out…A plunger will sometimes work also.Maybe you could rent a bowl auger at a rental place. Have them explain how to use it. It is cranked by hand.
