Can one replace an old cast iron radiator with a modern low, near the floor unit (that takes less space)? My feed pipes are six feet apart. How much do they cost?

No. Cannot mix cast iron with any oher type heating due to the heating and cooling down properties. Also the length of baseboard would need to be alot greater then the radiator took. For further discussion please contact me by e-mail or visit my site. Thanks: Can one replace an old cast iron radiator with a modern low, near the floor unit (that takes less space)? : Yes, they make cast iron baseboard. It is low to the floor and has a modern look, but is expensive. Check Burnham & Weil McLain.
