We are trying to repair a simple leak on our Delta kitchen faucet. We purchased the authentic Delta repair kit. We removed the old assembly. Then we replaced the ball with the slot fitting over the knob on the right hand side. Then we put on the rubber seal, next we put on the plastic cam with the tab fitted into the slot on the left side. Next we put on the cap assembly with adjusting ring inside, and finally the handle. Now when we turn on the water, all we get is a tiny stream of water, or no water at all. We have tried adjusting the adjusting ring — it seems to make no difference at all. We have checked the aerator and faucet for clogs — not clogged. What are we doing wrong. We hate to call a professional for something so simple that we should be able to fix ourselves, but we are so frustrated we are ready to. Help!

Does it have a spray hose. If so, the diverter may be clogged. If you get the same stream regardless of the handle position, then the problem is in the ball, diverter or spout. : We are trying to repair a simple leak on our Delta kitchen faucet.
