Our hot water heater is gas and only 2 years old. Lately we don’t have enough hot water. It is running out way before it should. Any answers?

check youre dip tube on the cold side, by removing the nipple and pulling it out through the top.if it is broken or cracked replace it, it should go to the bottom of the tank. do you here grumbeling when the tank is heating? ifso then you have sedament in the tank which will efect the heating of the water.
