We have not done any plumbing work lately, and suddenly our kitchen faucet will not work well. It used to only be on the cold a bit, but now we can barely use the hot (bathroom works fine!) It makes a rat-a-tat-tat noise that shakes the floor!!! Someone please help!!!

If its a standard washer type. Sounds like the washer face has seperated from its stem and jammed in the seat area.
