need to replace leaking water tank; were told this is a special tank that clears the line from the well after it fills to prevent water from freezing and bursting the line. this is a MARK 10 Bonded Glass Lined Standard Tank from The American Granby Co., Liverpool,NY, 75PSI, Model M10 42T, Dual Cathodic (at 1st reading i thought the label said Catholic) Protection, with an air vent. nobody here can relate to the line clearing bit, we were also originally told this is the source of a big noise every time it fills (our neighbors have quiet tanks) — what should we replace this wonder tank with? thanks for any suggestions!
