I am trying to find out what my options are pertaining to a plumbing job where we installed new water lines through out the house. Also all fixtures with the exception of tubs and showers had new shut-off valves. All this work was done on Sept. 19, 2000. Since then we have had two pipe connections or joints come off and flood our lower level of the house. We would like to know if the plumbers who did the job are responsible for the damage done to our home. I will gratefully request any information you can give. If not could you suggest where I can obtain this information. We live
in North Carolina. I truly thank you for your time and answer.

        Sincerely Greg Johnson

Did you have them come back and repair the valves, so they know of the problem? That is the reason they have liability insurance, assuming they are licensed, bonded and insured. If they do not respond to your request for their insurance company, then your licensing agency may have a recovery fund to compensate for the workmanship.
