I have a Gerber toilet that continues to leak water from the tank into the bowl. I have replaced this flapper 4 times with different flappers. All with the appropriate size and the last one from a plumbing shop guaranteed to fit a Gerber. Any suggestions on this problem. Thanks..

Thanks..-lets make sure its the flapper, put a little food coloring in the tank and see if it shows up in bowl, if so then its probably the flapper, make sure the seat for flapper is clean. if the color shows up and youre real sure its not the flapper, then the flush valve itself could be cracked(would require replacement) if you have leakage and no color, check the refill tube from ballcock valve, it may be stuck down in flush valve below water level and syphoning water out

Thanks..Gary, if its a newer gerber 1.6 gal there is only one flapper that will work. you must use the original flapper from gerber. we have tried every other flapper that looks like it will fit. the gerber part # is 99-523. If you cant find it e-mail me and I can help you get one. Good luck Scott [email protected]
