I have a Culligan water softner that I added some salt to today. A couple of hours later the water coming from my kitchen tap is white – full of salt I am guessing. What could cause this and how can I fix it? Thanks for your help.

Run water until the “white” clears up. If the water “tastes” salty then the softener did not do a proper rinse. Call the Culligan Man and have them service the unit.
