Our 1927 Church Rectory has a two pipe steam heating system. Local technicians refuse to have anything to do with it as they have only seen one other and not recently.Any advice, source of radiator valves (there are two per) would be appreciated.Replacement may be our last option as the boiler is only about 10 years old.We are located in upstate New York, USA

What kind of problem are you having. Normally, the only things that go wrong are bad traps which are the valves on the outlet that do not have handles. When they stop working properly, replacement is the best option, unless you can find a source for new bellows, (and seats), to repair them.: Our 1927 Church Rectory has a two pipe steam heating system. I still install 2 pipe hydronic systems and steam. Being from NYC I see lots of thses systems working for years and years trouble free. I think your provblem is the fact you used a Techicians instead of a plumber a tech in plumbing is normally a stumblebum who never passed any formal training in plumbing . They dabble in everything and know nothing. If you want I can refer you to one heck of a fantastic Master Plumber who lives and works in UPSTATE NY Please for your oewn sanity USAE professionals Use plumbers for plumbing and Electricans for electrical work. You will be much better off If you click on ASK SYLVAN Below you will see a heating expert David Francis He will be able to guide you a lot better. Good luck Sylvan
