MemberI live in Charleston, SC and we had to evacuate because of hurricane Floyd. The power company shut the electric for about 24 hours. After it was turned back on the hot water heater seemed to be producing hot water. Well, a day after we got back, were not getting any hot water. The electric hot water heater is hooked up to a Paragon electric load controller. I shut the circuit breaker opened up the load controller and saw it has a 9v lithium battery. Weve been in this house for 5 years and never changed that battery. What purpose does that battery serve. Is it possible its failure could somehow result in no hot water? Thanks a lot for your help!
