Is there theoretically any health hazzard in having air in my pipes? I have a new baby and have to drink A LOT of water for nursing. It doesn’t taste very good and the filter doesnt’ seem to make a difference. Should I even worry about this? I am a renter.
Air is a normal part of water and can not be completely removed or it will taste flat, like boiled water. You can have your water tested at the county agricultural department or a plumbing supply to see what is in it. A good filter may take out the dangerous particles, if any, but taste depends on the gases – and other chemicals in the water like chlorine may taste bad.
