WE HAVE POLYBUTYLENE PIPE INSIDE OUR HOME. THEY USED COPPER FITTINGS. DOES THIS REDUCE THE CHANCE OF LEAKS?

Reduce? yes. Eliminate leak possibility? No. There are also leaks caused by the pipe itself splitting. Inside piping is covered for 12 years from construction if before (about) 1995, if I understand correctly.: WE HAVE POLYBUTYLENE PIPE INSIDE OUR HOME. : THEY USED COPPER FITTINGS. RESPONSE: We have done more than 9,000 replumbs. We see about 20% of our leaks in the pipe spliting itself. More of the split pipe leaks are in the manifold systems. Dont believe any plumber that tells you poly is good. That is why there is more than a Billion dollars in class action money and several live class action suits still going on.
