I am connecting 5/8 OD 1/2 ID type L copper pipe to 1 black iron for a supply line to a decorative gas stove. Is it better to make a corner with the black iron (creatin a few more joints) or bend my copper at abou 8 radius? If bending, what method would you recommend? The hardware store has spring bender supports(?) but none big enough for 5/8 OD.

Sorry mate, but it sounds like you are a home handy man ……This is gas you are about to play with. A small leak and a decorative gas stove create a bloody big explosion, please get a licenced gas fitter to do this work for youbungie
