My water softener broke and filled by plumbing with resin. I cleaned it all out and installed a new softener. Now I keep getting small bits of resin coming from my water heater, even after I connected a hose and drained it twice. I just drained it again from one of the showers and seems to be better, but still a little resin. Any suggestions.

Just keep flushing and cleaning. That stuff will keep showing up for a long time as it gradually flows through the plumbing system.
