My house is about 15 years old (London, UK) and recently only the water in the upstairs radiators warm up when the central heating (gas fuelled) is switched on. Aren’t they all interconnected ? What should I try first to get those doenstairs to warm up and radiate ?

sounds like you have air in the system mate. Find the bleeder valve and let the air out CAREFULLY.

Remember you cant have AIR and water in the same place and get heat. Have a great holiday
