        Hi,
        We need to replace our garbage disposal. Can anyone recommend a well made, well insulated and quiet one.

          You will usually get what you pay for. GE and Whirlaway, (and their associated brands,) use high speed noisy motors.

            Fourth year is correct, buy a cheap one – get a cheap one. I suggest an Insinkerator 5/8 or 3/4 hp.
