A few seconds after we flush one of our toilets it begins to make a loud vibrating noise that continues until the tank is nearly full. If we run the water in the sink in the same bathroom the noise stops immediately. The noise restarts when we shut-off the water in the sink. This problem had temporarily gone away for several weeeks after I had done some work on the kitchen sink which is on the same floor of the house. Any ideas?

Repair/replace the ball cock AND check the shut off valve for this toilet as it may have a loose washer causing this chattering.
No big deal just try the stop valve 1st by throttling it
