Is a standard compression coupling with a nylon ferrule a safe way to go with polybutylene pipe?

I wonder why after 20 years they never thought of this? This method would be good for atmospheric pressure draining. The manufacturers invented other ways to join PB for pressure service.

That is the way 3/8″ faucet supply tubes area connected. While I do not like PB supply tubes because they have a tendency to split unexpectedly, you can use them that way.

PB is a very bad and unreliable material I would never recomend using it. but if you insist, then the brass comp fittings with nylon ferrules works great.
              have a great day
