washing machine hose leak

      My Sears Hotpoint washing machine leaks where the cold water hose is connected to the pipe that goes into the basket. I cannot get to it to fix it because the space is too small. Is there a way to take the top part of the machine off to reach the connecting fixtures? Thanks
