i heat my house with a hot water heater..i have 5 zones..the basement zone is not heating..i have checked it out and noticed that the pipe going to the first radiator is hot but when it comes out on the other side it is warm…
my theory is that the plastic pipe feeding the rad is anchored to the floor joists….and the hot water has to go down to the rad then back up to the joists then to the next rad..this seems to create hills and valleys and i wonder if the pump can’t handle it..i should also mention the plastic pipes that feed the basement zone have turned a grey color while the rest of the are all a yellowish color…
could a bigger pump help? or should i relocate the pipes closer to the basement floor..
        thanks

be VERY careful with your pump selection.

Check for possible partical air bounding.
