Is there an easy way (or the best way) to balance the charge on an expansion tank and the pressure on the pressure reducing valve without taking the system apart and hooking up gauges?

The Expansion tank is PRECHARGED and to add or take away pressure this tank MUST BE ISOLATED from the system pressure.

When you install ANY expansion tank leave a valve off the king valve so you can isolate this tank BUT remove the handle of the valve after it is open as you do not want the system operated without the expansion tank in the system sensing the pressure changes

          good luck
