Where can I find a shower drain cover with drainage holes smaller than the 5/16 than I presently have? I have been to numerous plumbing suppliers without success. Too much gets through the present cover creating an eventual drainage problem.

This is a interesting problem you have, I dont know what you could possibly be washing down a shower drain to stop it up but it sounds more like a drain problem than a shower drain cover problem. Youre best bet is to replace the shower drain line if this at all feasible. Regular use of a shower should not present the drainage problem you are experiencing. Hope this helps!

Place Brass/Copper wire mesh under it and replace the origional cover over it again OR if you really want to make sure nothing solid like hair goes down the drain ONLY waste water try a womans stocking over this cover. Not Silk but Nylon. You can also go to a local pet store get some fish netting and do the stocking trick without having to steal the little lady of the home stuff. Good luck .SylvanLMP
