gas hot water heater always full hot 160F turned it to vacation setting full low still boiling. turned of gas and recycled it worked ok for 2 days then went back to full hot. when you rotate the thermostat you can hear it click on and off and you can hear the gas burner turning up or down. will change the thermocouple this weekend but the heater is 7 years old never any problems may have to trash it?
