We get loud vibrating noises in my pipes after the water is turned off. It happens after the water is turned off from all sinks, toilets, showers, etc. We have a water softener in the garage and the tank is changed every month. Is this air in the pipes? How can I fix it?

You can obtain water hamer arrestors that should solve the problem at most hardware stores. Info on water hammer on my website.
Just moved into a double-wide manufactured home. Everytime we run water, hot or cold, we hear repeating thumping noises in various piping, which stops after a few minutes. From what I read, this is not hammer. Any way to deal with the problem?ThanksJohn
