It is not an old unit but has rust in the hot water. Other than draining and running water through it is there any other secrets to getting the rust out? 8 Dec 2000 at 4:09 am #289130 SylvanLMPParticipant Yup Get rid of ferrous metal connections and use dielectric fittings at the point of isolation as required by the better codes.
