I have a point well i just drove, worked great for a month, then it started running for an hour, then it would run, drop to no pressure for a minute, then come back for a minute or two. I put the point down 18 deeper thinking I was at the water table line and that this would help. Now I cant run my sprinkler at all, runs about 30 seconds then drops to 10 lb.. and just squirts, can run my soaker hose for hours though. Im using a Goulds JS05H 1/2 horse pump. would dropping the well down into the ground help? (ie. Digging a trench 2-3 feet deep and locating pump there)Thanks, RickHere are some other suggestions and results I got from others.>I put a tape measure down the pipe, I hit water at 25-29 feet with about 3 >of mud on the very bottom, put a hose down and ran it about a 1/2 hour, >then capped the pipe and ran it another 30-45 minutes, pitcher pumped it >for about an hour (pump seems to have alot of suction on it, if i were to >let it go in the handle down position it will snap back up), then hooked >the Goulds back up, same thing, pumps for a minute or two then dies right >down, dead head it and it jumps right up to 50 lbs., if I use the soaker >hose, it cycles from 30-50 turning on and off as it should.
